Bohol Philippines Delicacies: Bohol is the tenth largest island province in the country of the Philippines and its located in the Central portion of the Visayas. About 1.5 hour from Siquijor. Its capital city is the Tagbilaran City ”the city of friendship and peace”. Bohol is well known to celebrate ”Sandugo Festival” every July, in commemoration of the alliance between Miguel Lopez de Legazpi a Basque Spanish navigator and governor, and Datu Sikatuna a Datu (lord) in the island of Bohol.

Its enclosed with coconut shell and sealed by a red paper strip that makes its unique and extraordinary. You can buy calamay in mall,seaports and airport. But the best calamay is in Jagna.

Suman Alupi
There are so many different suman in Bohol and even in the other countries (with other names) but nothing beats the suman alupi in Bilar Bohol Philippines. Made of soft coconut meat, sugar, and rice flour that is low calories and its perfect for those who are in healthy diet. The price is also affordable. You can buy it in Bilar Public Market and 5 pieces of suman alupi at a low price of 20 pesos only.

Peanut Kisses
Peanut kisses are cookies whose main ingredients are high quality peanut, sugar and egg whites. It is one of the signature sweet delicacy in Bohol. You can enjoy its full flavor of crunch every bite.

Bibingka
Bibingka is a native delicacy and is made of butter, coconut milk, rice flour, sugar and encased in banana leaves. Its ideal for ”pantawid gutom” paired with hot coffee or whatever you like as long as its meet your taste. It is perfect for merienda for your family to enjoy, relax, and taste its yumminess. You can buy bibingka in Poblacion Loay Bohol near in gas station cost only 20 pesos.

Puto
Puto is a steamed rice in which it has different version on making it. It is easy to serve and its perfect dish when having family gathering and bonding with friends. Its good for everyday snacks.
